OISTAT HQ has brought to our attention that a participant applying for a visa to attend this conference received an email within 24 hours asking for their credit card information to complete the visa process. This is an internet fraud (scam). The Canadian Government will not ask for your credit card information by email after you apply for a visa.
Please remember to be careful when sharing sensitive information over the internet.
