Option #1: Airport Sedan Service
Airport sedans are available on-demand and are located on the Arrivals Level adjacent to the taxi stands: Doors 9 – 11. Flat rate fares are based on a zone system. The fare to the University of Calgary is $57.50 CAD. View rates.
Option #2: Taxi Services
Fares are based on meter rates. Under normal driving conditions, the approximate fare to downtown Calgary is between $40 CAD and $45 CAD. The approximate fare to get to the University of Calgary from the airport is between $35 CAD and $40 CAD. Airport taxis can accommodate four or five adult passengers. Vans are available to assist customers with excess luggage. Wheelchair accessible taxis are available.
Option #3: Shuttles
There is no shared shuttle to downtown, only hotel shuttles. There are no hotel shuttles that go from the airport to any of the designated accommodations for World Stage Design.
https://www.airportshuttlecalgary.ca/home only offers private bookings currently due to the pandemic and does not offer a shared shuttle to downtown.
Option #4: Public Transport
Bus stops are in two locations – one at the Domestic Terminal and one at the International Terminal.
To board the bus at the Domestic Terminal: exit Door 7 on the Arrivals Level. Cross the roadway at Door 2 and walk towards Pillar 7. Ticket vending machines that accept debit, credit card or cash are located here.
To board the bus from the International Terminal: exit Door 15 on the Arrivals Level. Cross the roadway and stand at Pillar 32. Ticket vending machines that accept debit, credit card or cash are located here.
Public transport options from Calgary International Airport to the University of Calgary on campus accommodations include:
Taking the #300 Bus and transferring to the #20
- Directions: At bus stop 2420 – take bus #300 to southbound Centre Street North at 78 Avenue North, then walk to the eastbound stop at 78 Avenue North Terminal. At bus stop 7626 – take the #20 (direction south) to University WY @ Craigie Hall. Walk to destination – 4 minutes.
OR
Taking the #100 Bus and transferring to the #8 and then the #9.
- Directions: At bus stop 2091 – take bus #100 to Country Village Way at Country Village Link North East. Walk to North Point Terminal B stop 3498. Take the #8 bus (direction south) to Hospital Drive at Health Services CE North West. Walk to northbound stop 8024 and take bus #9 (direction north) to University Drive at 24 Avenue North West. Walk to destination – 1 minute.
